The 2009 Republican Provisional Congress was the Lovian federal legislature from August 2, 2008 to November 9, 2009. It was a nominal re-appointment of the 2009 Congress, which in its own rights was the continuation of the inactive 2008 Congress.
The 2009 Republican Provisional Congress was replaced on own request by a new, demissionary provisional congress that would govern the country in the months before the elections, called the 2009 First Provisional Congress. It led to the first democratic elections since the 2008 mid-terms, and resulted in the election of the 2010 Congress.
