In Lovia, a citizen is an inhabitant of Lovia who has as a legal requirement contributed to society, who has a permanent residence, and who has formally registered his or her full name and biological sex.[1] Citizenship status, under social contract theory, carries with it both rights and responsibilities. All Lovian citizens are subject to the laws of the nation.[2] Unlike normal inhabitants, citizens may, among other privileges, participate and vote in elections and own three legal residences. In recent years, the legal requirements and rights of citizens have been altered by Congress.
