The Emerald Source Monument.
Emerald Source is a Lovian fresh water source and the main source of Beaver River, the country's longest and broadest river. The source is located on the flanks of Mount Emerald, in the Highlands. A small beaver population lives near the source. It is close to the river's highest point.
On January 24 in 1904, a meeting between people of the States of Oceana and Sylvania was held about the peace and friendship of both states. It is also marked on the Emerald Source Monument, placed some days later.
Monuments[]
There are several monuments at Emerald Source. A monument beneath an ash tree bears the inscription:
THE INHABITANTS OF OCEANA AND SYLVANIA
AFTER THEIR MEETING ON JANUARY 24, 1904
ABOUT THE PEACE BETWEEN BOTH STATES
THIS STONE WAS PLACED HERE TO MARK THE
SOURCE OF THE BEAVER RIVER
AND REMEMBER THE GOOD FRIENDSHIP OF OCEANA AND SYLVANIA
