Floyd Christopher Rahmsbottom (16 February, 1977 in Tokyo) is a Lovian architect and artist. He is known for designing some public gardens in Lovia, as well as being very fond of Japanese culture. Floyd has coined the word japart about creations imitating Japanese art or that are influenced by that. He is professor of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning at Blackburn University of Noble City.
Early life[]
Floyd was born to Geoffrey Rahmsbottom and Olivia Faut. His father was a prominent diplomat, working as Lovia's ambassador in Japan. Floyd has a younger sister, Wendy, who currently lives in Osaka.
As a child, Floyd proved to be talented at painting. He initially wanted to become a manga artist, but he totally changed his mind as a teenager. He studied Landscape Architecture at Tokyo and London and received his doctorate in 2006. That same year, Floyd moved in Noble City.
Life in Lovia[]
Upon his arrival, Floyd was chosen to design the Sand Garden, thought to be the most appropriate architect. He cooperated with a Japanese-American architect and the result was really impressive. In 2009 he was asked to desisgn a similar park, this time in Sofasi. The constuction of Zen Park was completed in 2010.
In 2011 Floyd married Gwenda Blanch, Peter Blanch's daughter, with whom he had already a child. In 2012 he was appointed professor at Blackburn University of Noble City. His reaction: "I really wanted to teach in Lovia, it's something I always did".
It is announced that Floyd's drawings and handicrafts will be exhibited at the Japanese Embassy, after an initiative of Tadashi Yamaguchi.
Personal life[]
Floyd and his wife have one daughter, Zoe, who was born in 2010. The Floyds own a Shiba Inu dog, Taji.
Floyd has stated to like a variety of music genres, chiefly pop, rock and jazz. Among his favourite Lovian artists are Coastal Trees and Full Frontal Buddha. Floyd himself is an amateur guitar player. Furthermore, he is comics fan, as he enjoys reading Japanese manga and Lovia comics, such as Donatello.
