
Heather Tinley (1910-1993) was a singer/actress and former Governor of Seven.
Early Life[]
Tinley was born in Kinley on Aug. 3, 1910. She was born to a family of Irish origin, and lived in 12 Delaware Ave. in Kinley.
Singing Career[]
In 1931, she began singing at the Davinci Theater in Kinley. She sang at that theater for many years. She also sang twice at the Olympia Hotel and Theater, in 1934 and 1937. In 1938, she married Stanley Ramsley (of the famous Ramsley Family).
Acting Career[]
She began acting in 1942; she had a role in Rich Man's Pursuit playing Susan Alexander Fitzgerald. She also had a role in Sheba and Solomon, playing the part of one of Sheba's attendants.
Politics[]
By 1945, she was becoming more involved in local politics. Here image as a singer/actress helped her goals. She ran for the post of Governor of Seven in 1947, and was elected into office. She served 4 consecutive terms until 1953.
Her catchy motto for her political campaigns was Kinley Loves Tinley.
Return to Acting[]
In 1955, she and her husband moved to America, where she resumed acting in Hollywood. She finished acting in 1958, and returned to Lovia that year.
Later Life[]
After returning to Lovia, she devoted her time to doing charity events. She founded the Heather Tinley Foundation and was actively involved in it from 1961 to1983. She died in 1993.
