Highlanders are the original inhabitants of the Emerald Highlands of central Peace Island. They are primarily descended from American, Anglo-Scottish, and Scots-Irish pioneers who arrived in the region in the 1880s.
Culture[]
Highlanders are known for their dour temperament, Calvinist work ethic, and a strong sense of loyalty to their people and their land. They are almost entirely English-speaking, and the religious among them are mainly members of the Free Church of Lovia.
Politics[]
Highlanders tend to be conservative, and threw most of their support behind the Conservative Nationalist Party in the 2013 Elections.
