Jake Kubrick (born 1970) is a Lovian investment banker and politician.
Biography[]
Jakob Kubrick was born October 6th, 1970 in Noble City. His parents owned a textile store in the capital. Jake has two younger sisters.
Kubrick has worked with Aventis National Bank since 1998. He has been a senior investment banker since 2003. He continued his business activities half-time during his 2006 Congressional term.
Politics[]
Kubrick had been a registered Freedom First member since late 2002. He rose up the party ranks quickly and participated (unsuccessfully) in the 2004 and 2005 federal elections. As F1 grew more popular by late 2005, Kubrick ran again in the 2006 elections, and won a seat to the 2006 Congress.
During his time in Congress, Kubrick urged for greater economic freedom. He was a supporter of stronger ties with the United States, in order to boast the economy. His Americophilia was often at odds with the opinions of his party colleagues.
He failed to get re-elected in 2007, when his party lost four seats, mostly to the King's Party. Kubrick left the party on February 5th, 2007.
Later, in 2010, Kubrick became affiliated with the Liberal Democrats, campaigning for them and winning a local office. He later joined LD's semi-successor, the Liberal Union. After LU's merger with the Lovian Democratic Party, Kubrick became part of the Liberal Democratic Party and was elected as a MOTC in the 2011 Special Federal Elections.
