Jonas Jonathan Hladovka (Jr.) (October 9, 1927 - September 22, 2003) was a former Governor of Oceana and a Mayor of Hurbanova.
Biography[]
Jonas Hladovka was born in Hurbanova to Jonas Hladovka Sr. and Maria Stanković. He went to school at the King Arthur II School, where he was a friend of Daniel A. Ramsley. In 1945 he decided to run for governor and was elected twice, serving until 1949. In late 1945 he also became mayor, serving until 1955. In 1954 he married Barbora Ealdeast and had one son, Edward and a daughter, Maria.
In 1949, he ran for the third time for Governor, but suffered a heavy loss in support, ending up fourth in votes. For Hladovka, this meant a great deal and he never ran in State politics again. He kept his function as Mayor of Hurbanova, however, until 1955.
