From Exciting Stories For Human Beings Chapter 7, The Largest Grain of Rice In The Universe
Jim decided to go hunting for the universe's largest grain of rice, for no apparent or futuristic reason necessary to understand this that is quite obviously necessary for the telling of the story, it's the title of the story, so he wanted a grain of rice. In the middle of the Virgo III supercluster, he found it! A 70-metre-long, 5-metre-wide, grain of rice! He hollowed a control panel and deck areas out of it and made it into a starship, to fly home. It ran on rice. All of a sudden, he ran into a 700-metre-long, 25-metre-wide, grain of rice! But he continued. And, when he got home, he discovered that all the grains of rice were small.
