Marco Van Marwijk

Van Marwijk

Marco Van Marwijk (born 2 March 1982) is a well known Libertan football player for the Cape Cross-based team Cape Cross FC. He also played for Sheckin Lads from 2005-2007 and Vnuki from 2008-2012. He scored the team's first goal of the season in a match against the Walker Cavaliers on the 8th July. This good start to the season has continued; he has scored 5 goals in the first 3 matches.

In January 2013 he moved to Brunanter team Cape Cross FC on a free transfer.

He is a distant relative of the Netherland football team coach Bert van Marwijk and a descendant of Brunanter founding father Joseph van Marwijck.
