Matilde Schou is a Lovian CCPL politician of Danish descent. Born in Hurbanova to the family of a well-to-do Scandinavian businessman, she spent her childhood living in many varied areas of the world. Upon reaching adulthood, she chose to return to her country of birth to study English literature. However, she did not finish her course, instead becoming a midwife in the Noble City General Hospital.
Although her upbringing was not formally religious, Schou converted to Catholicism before marrying her husband. She later joined the CCPL and is a major figure in the pragmatic branch of the party, and particularly standing out in the social democratic economic policies she supports.
