Michelle Lawrence (nee Clarke, born January 16, 1980) is a Lovian United Left politician, who is currently an MOTC and the incumbent Minister of Labour. Lawrence is currently the only female government minister.
Lawrence was born on January 16, 1980 in Sofasi, to Jamaican parents who had emigrated to Lovia three years previously. She attended Nobel University, and worked as a lawyer, specialising in employment law. Lawrence joined United Left in 2013 at its foundation, and was elected to Congress at the Federal Elections, 2014 as one of the party's candidates. After the election, Lawrence was named as Minister of Labour by PM Justin Abrahams.
Lawrence is married to Richard Lawrence, a fellow employment lawyer, and the couple have two children; George and Andrea.
