René-Louis Villeré Beauregard (born 1842-died 1923) was a Lovian-American soldier, farmer, businessman and weapons maker.
Early life[]
He was born in 1842 to P.G.T. Beauregard and Marie Laure Villeré. He grew up in Louisiana. During the US Civil War,he was a confederate soldier. He fought at the Battle of Bull Run, at Manassas and at Antietam. He received 2 medals, in 1862 and 1865. Beauregard married Anne-Marie De Rigaud, a Louisiana Cajun, in 1868. They had 5 children, Sophie, Gustave and Robert.
Later life and death[]
In 1877, the family moved to Lovia. They built a farm in Seven, Beauregard Farm and they had 2 more kids, Marcelle and Hebert. In 1884, he started a small swordmaking company (R. Beauregard and Sons), hand-building fine pistols and rifles. He served as a brigade commander in the Spanish-American war in 1898. He went and fought in Cuba and Puerto Rico. In 1916, he was elected mayor of Kinley and stayed as mayor until 1921. After this, he continued to handcraft his weapons. In 1923, he fell and broke his leg. Shortly after he would die.
