Ronald Raddick Thumbsup (May 6, 1884 - April 11, 1942) was the third Bishop of Oceana and Lovia and the first to be born in Lovia. He was born on a farm on American Island, Seven to a Scottish immigrant family. By the age of nineteen he had decided he wished to become a priest and travelled to the USA to train and be ordained, as there was no independent bishopric at that time on Lovian soil. In 1909 he returned to Kinley and became the first priest of the Church of the Sacred Heart in Kinley, and played a role in the dispute between the Governor Oliver Flint and the farming community which culminated in the Battle of British Island. His position in the community allowed the opposition Unionist Party to count on the support of the Catholic community and eventually to defeat Flint in the 1915 elections.

Thumbsup remained as parish priest in Seven for roughly twenty years, until he became bishop in 1931. He stepped down from the post in 1938, citing ill-health, and died in 1942.
