The church of the monastery
The Saint Peter's Monastery (Romanian: Mănăstirea Sfântul Petru) is an orthodox monastery in an isolated part of the Oceana Emerald Highlands, relatively nearby East Hills. The monastery is known to communicate with the orthodox Orthodox Church Saint Andrew in Hurbanova.
The monastery was founded by a group of religious Hurbanovan students from the Shkola Hurbanovni, with financial help of CCPL politician Cristian Latin. Cristian himself became a monk there, in order to refind stability in this difficult period of his life when he lost both his brother Alexandru (December 2010) and his mother (January 2010).
