Rental mountain bikes at Smith Bike Rental
Smith Bike Rental is a Lovian bike hire business in Clave Rock, Train Village, on 3 Jameson's Crossing. It is owned and operated by the Smith family of Train Village.
History and ownership[]
It is run by Harold Smith and his eldest daughter Pat Smith. Harold originally began a bike repair shop in Train Village in the late 1990s. He moved his shop to Noble City in 2004, but eventually moved to Clave Rock, where we anticipated on the growing hike-and-bike tourism trend of the late 2000s.
The owner Harold Smith is married to Bette Smith (née Molyneux), a Noble City dentist and Diomedes Marshall's sister.
Competition with The National Mountaineer[]
The National Mountaineer, located next door to Smith's on 5 McCrooke Avenue, is a store specialized in outdoor recreation. It also sells and rents bikes and MTBs. It was founded in 2008, shortly after Smith moved to Clave Rock. Both stores compete heavily with each other, which has led to a number of public fights. Smith Bike Rental has taken up the intention to present itself as Clave Rock's bike rental specialist, whereas The National Mountaineer wishes to establish itself as an all-round outdoors store.
