The 2014 State Elections (also known as the First 2015 State Elections, especially in Oceana) were elections for the five governors and deputy governors of the Lovian states. Although the constitution mandated that the election be held in October 2014, they were delayed until after the new year due to the ongoing constitutional convention and inefficiencies in the civil service. They were on an abbreviated schedule, and occurred late due to the ongoing constitutional convention. It is disputed whether they should be called the 2014 State Elections, as although the first candidacies unofficially occurred in late December 2014, official candidacies and voting did not begin until January 2015.
