Komakino (Joy Division cover)

The Theft of Joy is the second studio album and fourth release of the Lost Cosmonauts, a Lovian synthpop outfit signed to Warped Records. The Theft of Joy was released in 2013 to moderate to positive reviews. The album was produced by Warped Records and released on CD, vinyl and digital audio.

The Theft of Joy features the song "Komakino", a Joy Division cover, and two live recordings as bonus material. The album relies heavily on synthesizer sounds, with minimal beats and a missing rhythm section.

Tone Factory described the music as being bland anf generic, while some other magazines were ecstatic about the release. Frontman Infant, also known for his solo work in the techno scene, stated that the Lost Cosmonauts wanted to focus less on drum patterns, and more on lyrical content, melodic structure and the over-al atmosphere of songs. The clean-sounding production and swift hooks of the album have been attributed to the synthesizer-playing skill of Infant.
